TA - 218 Fd Sqn (V)

114 Engineer Regiment, 1st County of London Volunteers.
I joined 218 Field Squadron from the Army Cadets in 1958 when it was part of 114 Regt, the other Squadrons where 216 based in Tottenham, 217 in Holloway, 219 plant in Bethnal Green.When the T.A. was disbanded I transferred to 135 Field Survey at Ewell in Surrey, later when they expanded 73 Engineer Regiment in Nottingham and added 217 Fd Sqn in Holloway I transferred back to London.
216 and 217
I have a number of contacts for 217, also an old OC of 216.
218 FD Sqn (V) - Brize Norton
Joined in 1991 after having been medically discharged after passing out of Army Apprentices College, Chepstow.
Became Officer Cadet and almost completed my training at the point the Squadron was disbanded in 1999.
