Great Memories of REMRO

I joined straight from school, 17/10/1987. A brand new world for me, both working and being in a military environment. Managers were mostly retired RE officers, certainly within the manning wings. The records side was managed by Civil Servants. I started in Manning 4 which looked after the confidential reports and promotions of RE LCpls up to WO1. I moved to Manning 3 looking after the course allocations, particularly the Fd Sect Comd which, if I remember correctly, was a pre-requisite for promotion, can’t remember to which rank. I’ve visited 36ER, 39ER, 59 Cdo RE, 38ER, 42 Svy ER and probably some others that will come back to me.
