Yep, No.1 ESD was a sprawling place. I had the fortune (or mis fortune as the case may be) of being there from Sept 1954 until demob 15th September 1955. I was a clerk GD and put with the MT section. First "boss" was a Capt Main who retired not long after I arrived (must have been something I said) then along came Capt Taylor one of the very younger type. Thanks to him mamaged to gt on the .22 indoor range for a bit of shooting. Anybody remember the sgt posted to the MT for a short time, poor chap had a very bad stutter not a bad bloke otherwise.
