RE Diving School Marchwood

My first encounter with the diving school was a basic diver course (2 weeks) after which I returned later and was on the No3 instructors course. The diving officer at the time Capt"Davey Jones". Who said the army doesn't have a sense of humor. later of course the diving officer was none other that POM Chitty who eventually became Col and was involved with the Mary Rose recovery. Sadly he passed away March 2018 I believe.
