73 (Christmas Island) Squadron RE

I served with this squadron, on Christmas Island, for the American 21x H Bomb Tests, during the period February 1962 to March 1963. As was common, in those days, all individuals, who served with 73, remained on the strength of their parent units; thus I remained on the strength of 36 Corps Engineer Regiment, Maidstone. Later the number was used for one of the Amphibious Squadrons.
