Served here (Andy Britten) for 2 years 77-79, had a brilliant time. Plenty of high Risk Search and construction. Some of the lads I knew here went to 38 (Berlin) Fd Sqn and I followed. Worked on the big rebuild in XMG SF base rebuild and drove tonnes of aggregate and stores in 10 tonne tipper from Dillon to XMG. Names of blokes I remember, Brian Weeks, Babe Feddon, Gunner Sugden, Maj Scarlett, Jimmy Ray, and plenty of others.

2023 l have been awarded Nuclar Test medal for service on Christmas Island in 1960 with 17 Fd Sqn RE.
